Burnaby, British Columbia - Tuesday, January
10, 2006 - Viscount Systems Inc. (OTCBB - VSYS.OB) --
premiered its new MESH™ V5 facility protection
system at The International Security, Safety and Fire
Exhibition held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from December
9-12, 2005. Bob Hudson, Viscount's International Sales
Director, coordinated the MESH™ exhibit
with Mr. Rajesh Solanki, of Viscount's Indian Distributor,
Infocom India, to demonstrate the future of security
convergence and to provide a setting to discuss potential
contracts in pre-arranged meetings with Indian officials.
Mr. Hudson commented, "Our appearance
was necessary for officials to understand our commitment
to India given the size of potential projects and certain
departments. Their military is the world's third largest.
Infocom continues to book new construction contracts
for MESH™ and the first installs have
been very successful. The response from attendees was
outstanding and additional traffic was generated by
the recent story on Infocom and MESH™
in IndiaSafe Magazine."
The interest in MESH™ was
punctuated by Mr. Hudson being interviewed by India's
National Broadcaster Doordarshan, in a segment which
aired the following day.
"India is extremely IT savvy and MESH™
V5 has no equal in performance, reliability, or cost,"
noted Viscount President and CEO Steven Pineau. "With
a groundwork of successful smaller installs of MESH™
and many additional bookings, India has a real willingness
to adopt the coming digital security device revolution
and for departments anticipating large security deployments
the logic of avoiding investing in obsolete Controller
based security systems."
"Multi-nationals have invested billions
in acquiring controller manufacturers and market share.
MESH™ V5 puts us in a position so powerful
that our primary challenge for 2006 is in taking full
advantage of our market leadership by educating the
market that MESH™ V5 functions are even
possible. To see how competitors are dealing with the
MESH™ threat, please visit our website
to enter our online contest to be posted around noon
called 'The Five Stages of Controller Grief.'"
