In today’s heightened security environment, government agencies are facing a critical turning point in the way operations are managed. At the same time, the increased demand for higher security is putting pressure on existing infrastructure and budgets as users look to keep pace with compliance requirements and more complex threat matrixes.
The Government Security News Homeland Security Awards are designed to help government agencies identify the best solutions that address this specific market’s needs and meet the complex requirements of such applications. The annual honor recognizes the innovative solutions from vendors of IT and physical security products, and highlights the efforts of federal, state, county and municipal government and law enforcement agencies to reduce the risk of national security threats.
For the second year running, Viscount Systems is proud to announce that Freedom Access Control was named a winner for Best Integrated System for HSPD-12/FIPS 201 Compliance in the overarching Physical Security category.
Viscount’s award recognition marks the second honor Freedom Access Control has received from the publication (it won for Best Platform for Physical/Logical Access in 2014). One of the key features of Viscount’s winning solution is the way it leverages the existing IT network infrastructure to connect physical and logical access control in a wide variety of government installations, including multiple United States Citizenship and Immigration Services sites.
We’re grateful to GSN for the recognition, and we’re excited about the new innovations we are introducing for the government security market in 2016.
